As an economic power in the Metro New Orleans Area, The Bardells take their responsibility to care for communities connected to their storefront locations seriously. It is not about doing the same things; the Foundation is constantly re-assessing and defining the current need to respond accordingly.
McRig
The Bardell Co. is proud to have worked with McDonald’s Corporate to facilitate the McRig visiting New Orleans post-Hurricane Ida. Despite their restaurants being operational during that time, the Bardells opted to remain closed in order to distribute free meals to address a community in need. As a result, tens of thousands of meals were distributed to the citizens of Metropolitan New Orleans.

In 2021 the Bardells were able to give back year by supporting a young man and local author in the New Orleans community, Jared Green. The Bardell Co. supported the release of his book, “Madam Mayor”, based on the first African American female Mayor of New Orleans, by assisting with the distribution of his book to kids throughout New Orleans.
the bardell co. school to entrepreneurship program
Entrepreneurship is the lifeblood of the The Bardell Co., and we’re pumping it back into our community through the “School to Entrepreneurship” program. This program offers an opportunity for the next generation to be taught that hard work, dedication, and a corporate structure is still a proven way to become a boss.
In alignment with McDonalds Corporate, The Bardell Co. is on a mission to increase the number of students staying in school and realizing their goals of being stable and successful adults. Seeking to make a difference in the heart of the communities connected to our restaurants, Warren Easton Charter High School became our chosen Pioneer School.
In the Summer of 2022, an opportunity to have a soft-launch of The Bardell Co. School to Entrepreneurship program with 4 students was presented by way of the Warren Easton Academy of Hospitality and Tourism’s 4th Jump Start Career Pathway Summer Program.
bigger than us: COVID-19 response
As an active board member of the Ronald McDonald House Charities of South Louisiana, Mr. Bardell’s response to the global pandemic has been in tandem with the organization’s continued focus on families facing medical uncertainties. Continuing in 2021, we participated in a multi-day, multi-location COVID-19 vaccination drive partnership with New Orleans East Hospital. That was definitely a “right now” response to helping our customers and employees overcome fear and lack of access to healthcare.
The Bardell family also participated in making masks to donate to the Ronald McDonald House at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Mr. Bardell is also proud to sit on an all-volunteer board for the Ronald McDonald House Charities of South Louisiana. He supports their mission to create “a home-away-from home” for families of seriously ill or injured children being treated in New Orleans and its initiatives to provide programs that give comfort, compassion and care to those children and their families.
crime stoppers
Longtime supporters of public safety and our frontline heroes in the law enforcement community of both Orleans and Jefferson Parish, the Bardells invited students of Warren Easton Charter High School to attend and network with public safety advocates at the 2022 Crimestoppers Luncheon.
